We recently found the article “Negra & Beautiful: The Unique Challenges Faced by Afro-Latinas” on Latina.com.

It chronicles the struggles of being Afro-Latina in the United States and features real-life stories and quotes from Zoe Saldana and Miriam Jimenez Roman, who edited The AfroLatin@ Reader: History and Culture in the United States.
